Hi, I’m Lauren Bragg.  Board Certified Health and Wellness Coach, creator of Wellness Vixen and owner of SimplyPaleo.com, a community with over 15,000 fans worldwide.  Over the last 5 years, I’ve had the privilege of working with hundreds of women, giving them the tools and support to create the best version of themselves.

I’m here to to teach you how to cultivate the most vibrant version of yourself and heal your body and your relationship with the mirror.

My Story 

My health journey began about 5 years ago. I had been smoking for 10 years, never exercised was and drinking and working horrible hours, living the life of a bartender.   Upon finally quitting smoking on July 5th, 2010 and getting out of the service industry, I had to come to terms with the fact that I had gained over 30 lbs.  My boyfriend at the time had also just proposed and I decided that I could not bear to look or FEEL the way I did in my wedding dress.  It wasn’t just about body image and weight gain though, I was sick.  You would think after quitting smoking I would feel fantastic right?  Wrong.  The weight gain and my relationship with food were both very unhealthy and had brought on whole new slew of health issues.  I didn’t sleep well, had strange and consistent skin rashes, breakouts, digestive issues and irregular and terribly heavy periods.  The worst part? During what was supposed to be a very happy engagement period, I found myself slipping into depression.  Unable to function normally or have as much fun as I used to, I struggled at work, in relationships and inside my own head.  I thought, “I’m normally so happy, how can this be!?  How did I get here?”  And the rock-bottom tipping point presented itself.  It was time to make a change.

I started working out, leaning about nutrition and listening to my body.  I noticed how different foods made me feel and relished in the post-work out bliss.  I quit my stressful day job and started my own business, I started to fall in love with with my reflection and I noticed my health issues disappear one by one.  My only complaint about this wonderful, transformative time in my life was that I did it on my own.  I took to google and self diagnosed and even though I had fantastic support from family I thought I’d never find the way to accomplish my goals.

Now that I’m on the other side, I have dedicated my life to helping women achieve their health and wellness goals.  I run my own business, frequently work in my underwear, I feel amazing and am grateful every day for this journey.  There is so much joy in the world, we just have to unleash our inner Vixens to experience it.

My Approach 

I practice a holistic approach to health and wellness, which means that I look at how all areas of your life are connected. Does stress at your job or in your relationship cause you to overeat? Does lack of sleep or low energy prevent you from exercising? As we work together, we will look at how all parts of your life affect your health as a whole- not just your diet.

The concept of bio-individuality is that each person has unique food and lifestyle needs. One person’s food is another person’s poison, and that’s why fad diets tend to fail in the long run. Working on the principle of bio-individuality, I’ll support you to make positive changes that are based on your unique needs and lifestyle.  My programs are designed to work WITH your busy schedule!

Here are some concepts that we will explore during our work together:

V.I.X.E.N.S.  and Primary Food:   It’s easy to overlook all of the things that contribute to our sense of nourishment.  It’s not just the food we eat, but all of the other factors present in our daily lives. Healthy relationships, exercise, personal development, spiritual awareness and self care are all essential forms of nourishment. When these “primary foods” are balanced, what you eat becomes secondary. When our lives are in balance as a whole, we can accomplish AMAZING things.
